You are welcome to visit us at one of our general Open Day Events which run throughout the year. Although these events are aimed primarily at full-time undergraduate students, they will give you an opportunity to find out more about courses and campus facilities including the Libraries, the Sports Centre, the Halls of Residence and the Students' Union. It also gives you a chance to get to know the town centre if you'’re not familiar with Bolton.

In addition, we hold special Postgraduate Course Advice Days. They are more intimate than our open days and offer you the chance to chat individually to tutors from each academic school and find out more about your course of interest. School tutors will be able to give you detailed information about the course content and the learning and assessment methods used. If you are interested in studying part-time our course tutors will also be able to give you an idea of the hours you will be expected to attend.

Representatives from the disability service, student finance team and careers service will also usually be on hand to discuss any additional support needs you may have, advise you regarding tuition fees, student finance and funding as well as offer guidance regarding your future career and increasing your employability.

If you would prefer an individual visit, we would welcome you to visit at a mutually convenient time (by arrangement). Our enthusiastic and welcoming staff will be happy to tell you more about the opportunities available for Postgraduate study and discuss your career interests. They will also be able to give you a personal tour where you will have a chance to meet some current students and view their work whilst touring our facilities and seeing what the University has to offer.
