The Department of Engineering at De Montfort University (DMU) is part of the Faculty of Technology and is situated in the Queens Building, an award-winning low energy building that is home to a range of dedicated engineering laboratories and excellent facilities.

With more than 400 undergraduate and postgraduate students, you'll be joining a large and enthusiastic department. The learning environment encourages discussion, so lectures, tutorials and lab groups are kept small to give students as much time as possible with staff.

Research in the Faculty of Technology is of international standing and provides a diverse, exciting and interdisciplinary base for postgraduate research degrees. The academic excellence of the Faculty was evidenced in the recent Research Assessment Exercise (2008) where 45 per cent of all work submitted was classified as 'internationally excellent' or 'world-leading'.
