Rapid Product Development

Rapid Product Development (RPD) benefits from DMU's outstanding support and links with industry. With guest lectures from professional experts and company visits to see technology in action, students gain a detailed understanding of this exciting industry.

RPD is aimed at engineering graduates (mechanical, production, aerospace, automotive etc) who wish to specialise in engineering design, product development or advanced manufacturing technology. The course is a combination of taught, industry-proven business management techniques and hands-on experience, using the latest design and manufacturing technology.  Modules include: design analysis, rapid phototyping, high speed machining and rapid tooling.

Graduates are highly sought after; many go on to work in strategic positions, often heading product development teams.
