Digital Signal Processing in Communication Systems

This course has been designed for graduates in engineering, science or technology who are seeking advanced knowledge and specialised design skills in DSP techniques. Although the course is mainly concerned with the application of DSP in telecommunications, it also provides you with training on the general use of DSP techniques in many different application areas including: robotics and autonomous systems; hi-fi and domestic electronic equipment; medical systems; geophysical and underwater; sensor networks; aerospace; and automotive and environmental systems.
It is this generic nature of DSP, coupled with its role as a key enabling technology in the design of next generation systems that makes graduates from this course sought after by employers in high technology industries. The course is supported with several EPSRC studentships.
