Executive Doctorate DBA
The Cranfield Executive Doctorate is recognised by the UK's Economic and Social Research Council. It is a research based degree, but unlike the PhD the starting point is a practical business issue or problem with which you and your sponsoring organisation are engaged.
The Executive Doctorate will enable individuals to develop five key areas: Conceptualising Skills; Research Method Skills; The ability to apply concepts to practice; The ability to reflect and learn from the whole process; Personal Development.
The focus of the programme is a series of three thematically linked projects, designed to explore a management issue of your choice.
Admission Requirements
- Clear understanding of the basic business principles together with extensive practical experience. The programme is issue-driven requiring you to apply your existing knowledge as you undertake your own research.
- MBA or equivalent business-related degree with a minimum of four years managerial experience. This would allow a 4-year registration period.
- If you have alternative qualifications and extensive managerial experience you may also be considered for a 6-year registration period. The degree can, however, be completed within the normal 4-year period if you keep pace with the formal programme structure
- Evidence of English language ability may be required.
