Senior financial practitioners from industry advise us on the unique course content through our External Advisory Panel, helping ensure our teaching standards and course content continue to meet the high needs of modern business.
Three sets of compulsory modules followed by electives and an individual research-based thesis project. Your chosen subject area is agreed in consultation with the programme director.
Students take seven compulsory finance modules covering key areas of finance. These are accompanied by compulsory management modules: accounting, economics, marketing, organisational behaviour and personal development and strategic management, as well as a choice of four electives.
Entry requirements:
1st or 2nd class UK honours degree or equivalent, or a professional qualification (e.g. Diploma from The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants) and 5 years' relevant work experience, in a quantitative discipline. High level of numeracy, significant exposure to quantitative subjects (to allow for extensive use of quantitative techniques and models in finance), is an important consideration for admission, transcripts will be required when submitting your application. IELTS band 6.5 with writing of 6.0 or TOEFL 92+ Internet, 237 computer or 580 paper if English is not the first language. GMAT (550 minimum) may be required, analytical writing of 4.0.
