Design & Manufacturing Management

This postgraduate programme is designed to develop and upgrade the skills and knowledge of students seeking career opportunities at a managerial level in a broad range of design, manufacturing, consulting and service industries.

Today?s integrated design and manufacturing management philosophies encompass a broad range of advanced techniques and tools for the design, development and manufacture of products, product data management and analysis.

The programme enables you to work effectively in an integrated product design and manufacturing role, as well as providing an opportunity to develop technical and managerial skills for a competitive global market.

The individual project is a major element of the course. It involves a wider spectrum of multidisciplinary research in design, manufacturing systems, quality management and IT, with due regard to the efficient exploitation of the technology, materials and marketing resources of industrial firms. Students are encouraged to work on industrial- based projects.

Entry requirements

A good honours degree (or equivalent) in a science, engineering or other relevant management/ technological discipline. We particularly welcome overseas and EU applicants with relevant qualifications.
