Information Operations

Duration: 18 months FT and up to 3 years PT
Entry Requirements:
Normally a 1st or 2nd class honours degree, or equivalent. Alternatively, a lesser qualification together with appropriate work experience may be acceptable. Our normal minimum requirement is a TOEFL score of 580 (paper test) or 237 (computer test), essay rating 4.5 or 92 (Internet test), all skills 19 or an IELTS 6.5 with 6.0 for writing, a TOEIC overall score of 830, or a Cambridge Certificate of Proficiency in English grade C or Cambridge Certificate in Advanced English grade C, although a number of our programmes require higher scores.
Course Description:
Military activity intentionally taken, through action or inaction, to affect the perceptions, behaviours and uniquely, the will of a chosen target audience has always been a part of what the military do. It is very much still a pervasive part of contemporary military operations and increasingly within the wider national security context. This new course will provide the professional education to support the role of the Information Operations practitioner. It will provide students with the competencies and abilities to advocate the Information Operations approach amongst decisions makers at a senior and national level.
