As part of the course, Atta (pictured above) devised an anti-theft device clip, which won 'Most interesting new product' from 80 entries across seven universities in the Bright Ideas 4 competition. Atta said: "By entering the competition I have met fellow students with different disciplines and skills sets, as well as having the opportunity of networking."

"It [the course] has helped me to identify entrepreneurial skills and how the product may be successfully marketed once the prototype has been tested. I have enjoyed the creative element, as I see my future in becoming a design engineer and, more importantly, an entrepreneur."

The presentation skills and business acumen Atta learnt on the course also helped him secure three months’ free mentoring at the London Innovation Centre. Atta said: “I am excited about the prospect of marketing the product to businesses through the mentoring scheme."
